Photo gallery: The launch of the new Volvo VNL Class 8 truck This week, Volvo Trucks announced the VNL series, its first completely new line of Class 8 on-highway trucks since 1996. The VNL comes in multiple configurations, including a newly available 70-in. sleeper, and comes standard with Volvo engines, transmissions, and Active Driver Assist, Volvo’s safety system developed with Bendix. Fleet Equipment was on hand for the launch of the new truck and to take a close look at all its features, and, naturally, a video will be on its way soon. Until then, peruse this photo gallery as a sort of appetizer for the video, and read more on the VNL series here. The Volvo VNL rolls out for the first time at Volvo’s Customer Center in Dublin, Va. This is the first time Volvo has offered a 70-in. sleeper Class 8 truck. Three other sleeper configurations are also available. These are just a few of the many seat offerings available for the VNL. Stay tuned for the upcoming FE on the Road episode featuring a test drive of the new VNL!
